The Beacon went Emoticonal! Not Emotional! - 27/04/08 - 4/27/08

Let me clarify on that, the Beacon, and all other Forumotion forums experienced a time today when no posts could be read.

No joke, this was serious stuff! Let me see if I can get a screenshot later, thats right, I can go back in time on my web-browsing! Anyway, the problem was pretty extreme, when you opened a post, you got an error saying "Could not obtain smilies data" and you wouldn't see any content, no title, nothing but that error message.
I even tried accessing the admin panel, going in to Smileys to see what had happened, but when I did, all I got was: "smilies could not obtain from database" Which doesn't even read correctly.

This lasted for a good section of the night (lucky no one goes on in those hours usually!) and ate in to the morning, it just has thankfully gone, from what I have gathered, the information in the MySQL database which tells the forum where the smileys are (as in the picture files) had gone for a walk. Leaving the forum with no smileys.

I don't know why it didn't let us read posts, that was a bit loopy.

Anyway, as you can see, the Vault is being put in to production! Me and Boggs have teamed up to bring an ultimate guide to Secret Agent Mission 7, or SAM7 as I like to call it.
We'll be bringing that to you shortly, I have a few things to do, and then it's max speed in the Vault!

Hmm. Mabye there was bug in the forummotion system. Anyway, at least it's fixed.
