| The Rift, Chapter 3, comes the final hour! Chapter 3; - The Five ZulagsPart 1; - Spoiler:
Part 1;
I arrived in a different sort of cave; the old caves where I met that fire penguin were sandstone, that’s why they crumbled when the penguin so called ‘died’. This one was a dark limestone, I couldn’t see much, thanks to the old torches on the walls, the ones with candles, I can see.
I looked around a bit more, I was stood on a high up ledge, there was another ledge with the same height on the other side of the cave, and in between was nothing, just darkness. I looked closer at the other side; there was no door, no Keycard, or no lever. Just a ledge exactly like the one I am standing on.
I turned round behind me, no door, just a cave wall. I thought about everything harder, and I developed a question, how did they put the torches on the walls when there was nothing to stand on?
I waited for a moment, puzzled and my wrist-band started making a high pitched bleeping noise, I looked at it and pressed the flashing button, a hologram of Gary shone up, everything had a green tone to it. It was like Gary was a floating head with a green light shone on him. He began to speak.
‘Ah sorry, I forgot to turn the description cards on, wait there one second…’ Gary said.
His hologram vanished back in to the wrist-band and a few seconds later, a plaque attached to a pole raised from the ledge I was standing on, like the one by the Clock Tower at the Snow Forts. I read it, it said the following message. ‘Zulag 1: The Test of Courage
Do you think you could jump and survive death?’
Humph, descriptive. What kind of test displays a sarcastic message like that? I couldn’t die, it was impossible, remember?
I leapt out in to the complete darkness, the laws of physics didn’t alter, I fell down in to the darkness, well, if the laws of physics weren’t going to change to some how suspend me so I could walk across, maybe the darkness wasn’t that… dark. Who am I kidding?
I fell down the dark cavern, banging in to several rocks on my way and finally hitting the floor, I pulled my wrist-band from my sleeve, in hope it would shed the tiniest bit of light on the situation, I navigated, well bumped into a large lever, I pulled it, suddenly…
Alarms started to sound, lights started to turn on and off, I could see the cavern slightly, I found the Keycard hidden under a piece of rock, I had to survive to the end of the Zulag to keep the Keycard, when I say survive, I don’t mean die, I mean seriously injure myself so I can’t move.
I stopped panicking, no one was coming, if they were so dumb, they’d fall down here like I did. Anyway, I climbed back up to the opposite ledge to the one I was on before, and a door had appeared! I pulled the lever near it, the alarms stopped, the lights turned off, the door opened and only the candles remained on.
I walked through the door, in to a room where there was a colour cylinder portal again, I jumped into it, and appeared in a circular room, where there was nothing but a sign on the wall saying the following.
‘Zulag 1 Completed! Enter Zulag 2’s frequency now! Your Keycard has been saved.’
I felt a sigh of relief, one down, 4 to go.
To Zulag 2!
Part 2; - Spoiler:
Part 2;
I arrived in a new cavern, the same type, limestone, but fully lit up this time. I could hear people, people walking. I read the plaque near by, it said the following.
‘Zulag 2: The Test of Survival
If you survive this, you’re well on your way.’
I pulled myself up to the side of the ledge; I didn’t pull up fully, just so I could see what was going on.
I saw some weird looking creatures with guns, marching backwards and forwards. The creatures looked like they were experiments that had gone wrong. They were on two legs, with two arms wielding a gun, They had a head with what looked like a gasmask on, and they had tentacles drooping out of the masks. They we’re purple all over, they walked backwards and forwards, I waited till they we’re right near me, waited until they turned round and started marching away, I pulled myself up and tip toed to a shadow near by, I waited until they had gone past me, and tip toed to the next one, when they weren’t looking, I ran to the other end, jumped up and grabbed the Keycard, hidden under loads of gun ammo. I climbed up, found it a safe spot because none of the bad guys could see me, and I wondered who was in charge of this place. It obviously wasn’t Gary. Anyway, I was on a high up ledge, none of the bad guys could see me, and a lever was to my left, I pulled it, which was a mistake.
Alarms sounded again, lights started flashing, bad guys kept dropping in down a tube, on to a ledge with the same height as me to my right, I ran left and dropped down, a door was open, I ran in, the bad guys we’re running and following me, they armed their guns and aimed, I pulled a lever quickly to my right, it sealed the door behind me. I knew I wasn’t done here, I can’t leave the area until the alarms are off. I pulled the lever to my right again which opened the door, I ran back out the way I came, jumped up to the ledge I was on before, jumped to the ledge with equal height with bad guys on, and hid in the shadows, I tip toed past each bad guy, and I was at the end of the ledge in a shadow.
There was another lever to my right, just out of reach, out of the shadow. I waited till the bad guys we’re all past me, before quickly sprinting to it, and back to the shadow. I jumped off this ledge, past the lever, the alarms we’re still on, I saw what it did, near where I started, and it opened a hatch in the roof. I jumped up to it, and for the first time, I was out of danger.
I leaped up, and I saw the control room for this whole Zulag. Unfortunately there wasn’t a switch to make all the bad guys go away, but there was the cables for the electricity not hidden, so I grabbed the nearest sharp object, which was a butter knife, someone was trying to grab a slice of toast, but obviously the alarms meant he had to stop what he was doing and find me.
I cut the positive wire with the butter knife, and the alarms slowly faded off. I had to be quick; the guy who was eating the toast would come back, so I put the knife back on the toast, and went back to the safe area I started the whole Zulag in.
I watched him jump up back to his toast, and all the bad guys dropped the high priority and stopped running about.
I leapt up, and hid in the shadows, I made myself back to the room which I shut earlier with that lever, shut the door, and the colour jelly portal became active; I jumped in, feeling happy.
But I wasn’t finished! It dropped me off in another area of this room, really high up, above that control room with the toast man.
I sneaked right past 5 bad guys, jumped up a ledge, one of the bad guys saw me, I just missed them shooting me! They shot the wall instead; I jumped in to the portal, and appeared into a safe room again. Sign said the following.
‘Zulag 2 Completed! Enter Zulag 3’s frequency now! Your Keycard has been saved.’
If it was going to get harder than that Zulag, that’s saying something.
Part 3; - Spoiler:
Part 3;
I arrived somewhere else, I wasn’t in a cave, it was sort of a temple, or a tomb, a holy place anyway, with brick walls and statues and torches.
I was on a high ledge in a single room, it had no doors, it had flooring, and there was a plaque on the right of me, it said the following message.
‘Zulag 3: The Test of Knowledge
Match the items with the backgrounds; do you think you can do it in the time limit?’
I looked around, what time limit, what items, what backgrounds?
I hopped down off my high ledge, a panel appeared on the wall showing a 3 minute time limit, not counting yet, and 6 wearable items in Club Penguin came out the floor, 3 to my left, 3 to my right, to match, 6 images of places or parties in Club Penguin appeared in the walls, 3 to my left, 3 to my right. They we’re jumbled up, so I think my task is to re-arrange.
In the middle of the room, was a little podium with a red button on it, I pressed it, and the timer started counting.
Here are the items there were.
I moved the Red Bandana to the background of Rockhopper’s Ship, where I put it light up green.
2 minutes 40 left, so I quickly grabbed the Lighthouse Beacon Jumper and put it on the Lighthouse background. Turned green, two down, and four to go. 2:10, I quickly reached for the Tour Guide Hat, but there was a picture for the Plaza, where it was before, and the Ski Village, where it is now, I put it on the Plaza, thinking this temple is old, but it turned red! So I had to do all of the items again, but the time didn’t start again! It carried on! So I quickly moved the Red Bandana, and the Beacon Jumper to their respective places, and I moved the Tour Guide Hat to the Ski Village, it worked and went green. 1 minute 20 seconds!
I leapt for the Friendship Bracelet, slapped it on the Book Room background and green colour shone up through its middle.
1 minute remains, 2 more items to go.
I struggled on the last 2, Coffee Shop or Plaza, Blue Water Wings or Umbrella Hat?
I started figuring it out in my head, half way through figuring it out; I noticed the clock, 30 seconds!
I got it! Umbrella Hat, Plaza! So I slapped the Umbrella Hat on Plaza, and the green part of the Umbrella Hat shone up. 10 seconds for the Blue Water Wings, I grabbed them quickly and dived for the target, I turned my head and watched the countdown, I missed the target, and I stood up, 4 seconds! I slapped it on and 2 seconds left!
The clock stopped, and the screen turned blank. I turned round, to the high ledge, and a door had appeared where I was standing before, I turned back round the other way, an open door was there, I walked through, and there were about 5 platforms, I jumped to each one, and pulled the lever, it opened the door on the High Ledge, I climbed back up, walked through the door, and touched the colour portal.
‘Zulag 3 Completed! Enter Zulag 4’s frequency now! Your Keycard has been saved.’
I’m getting bored of this…
Part 4; - Spoiler:
Part 4;
I’m trying to exaggerate on the teleportation frequency thing, I type it in, swing my arms up, and swing them down when I’m about to go to the new place, it’s funny. Anyway, Zulag 4’s frequency typed in, all set, and poof.
I arrived in some large bright temple, I appeared on the ground floor, in the middle of the room was a circle, slightly lowered than the floor, in the middle of one of the walls was a circular stone block, with a scary face in the stone.
I read the plaque, it said the following.
‘Zulag 4: The Test of Combat
Defeat Glukk with the Staff of Combat.’
I was confused, who’s Glukk, and what’s the Staff of Combat?
On the opposite side of the room, was a lever, I pulled it, and the circular stone block had weird light coming out of it, I walked up to it, avoiding the circle in the floor, I stared at it, and then…
I… I… couldn’t control myself! I kneeled, in front of it, and I couldn’t stop!
My chest arched forward, and my arms shot up and I made a high pitched scream, feeling like the evil was unlocked inside myself, a large, purple face came out my body, in to the stone structure, it was…
My spirit, once it had entered the stone face, I fell to the floor, presumably dead.
It felt like I was living inside a dream, I was walking down a red carpet in a temple, about to be awarded a large staff with a bulky end, with a lightning strike symbol on the end of it, I knelt at who I felt like I’d known for years, the King of… I think he said Saracott. He gave me the staff, said it’s mine to use responsibly. It is the Staff of Combat, I should use it’s powers wisely.
The next minute I remember, was a purple spirit, entering my mouth. I still couldn’t control myself, I stood up, and walked on top of the circular shape in the centre of the room. I stood still, arms shot up again, and I looked up. The Staff slowly fell down, in to my hands. From now, I was in control of my body again. The circular shape in the room, which I was standing on, started to open; I ran to the edge and jumped off on to ground. I heard the crackling sound of fire, I looked down, what seemed to be a massive face, like the one in the stone face in the wall, attached to a body, it stood up, the circular shape closed, I assume this thing Is Glukk, and it’s my job to kill him.
He let out a scream, he looked like a large skeleton, on fire, and out his nostrils he shot fire, and his mouth breathed fire. Tackling this thing would be hard, he was strong and powerful, he started shooting fire blasts at me, I could retaliate, my staff was equipped with an Ice Blaster, I froze the blasts, it just felt like hail hitting me, that didn’t help much. I ran right up close to him, he started stamping his foot which made large earthquakes, When he’d stomped, he waited a second, that was my chance. I ice blasted his foot, he couldn’t move it, I started ice blasting his leg, but with his other foot, he kicked me straight in to a stone pillar, it crashed on top of me. I was, I was, gone.
I woke up, I felt like I’d just been unconscious, but I came back around. I grabbed on to the top of the lowered stone pillar, I waited until he came close, I froze his brain, I jumped on his head, and started smashing at his brain.
He growled and screamed, shook me off and I went flying straight in to another pillar.
After being the unconscious casualty again, I came round, jumped on the first pillar, and on to the second one, I froze his head again, jumped on, and started smashing at his head, one of his eyeballs fell off.
I grabbed it, froze it and chucked it at his other one, it froze the other eye, I jumped back on him, and smashed the other one, he started walking around, crazily, I shot some of my ice blaster at him, and then did a Super Quake! Which shakes the floor like mad! He fell backwards, and went crashing straight through a wall.
He still looked alive, so I jumped on his body, and put my staff behind his face, and ripped off his face.
I put the face on top of the other face on the wall, and it made a door appear near me. I leapt in, pulled the lever, and it opened the circular shape in the middle of the room, I jumped down.
I woke up after being unconscious again, and it was pitch black, I navigated using the sense of touch, and found a lever, now just to find a door.
I walked around for what must have been 15 minutes, and found the door, walked in, and touched the colour portal.
‘Zulag 4 Completed! Ready for your ultimate test? Enter Zulag 5’s frequency now! Your Keycard has been saved.’
